Now all you have to do is add your own actions below the Slap! line in the editor. Aside from slapping someone, what action do we want to perform on someone frequently enough to have it be in the popup menu? A hug seems appropriate.

To add a hug, just type in the following under the Slap! line in the editor:

Hug:/me hugs $$1 tightly.

The first bit (where it says Hug) is what the menu will show when you right click on the person's name. The colon then separates that from what happens when you left click on that selection. The rest is the action that will be performed. The $$1 will take the nickname of the person you clicked on. So if your nickname was "juliebug" and you clicked on "HabsFan", then right clicked and selected Hug, you would see:

* juliebug hugs HabsFan tightly.

Your editor screen should now have two actions, Slap! and Hug. [screenshot]

You can add other actions to your nickname popups this way, but if you add a lot, your popup menu will be huge. [screenshot]

You can see how lists of actions can get really long, if you just keep adding actions like that. So how do you separate the actions from other menu items like Control and CTCP and DCC? It's very simple.

In the Editor, above "Slap!", type in the word "Actions", without the quote. Then, before Slap! and Hug, put a period, so that the lines look like this:

Actions
.Slap!:/me slaps $$1 around a bit with large a trout
.Hug:/me hugs $$1 tightly.

And so forth. Your Editor screen should somewhat resemble the above text. [screenshot]

This keeps the main nickname popup menu a lot cleaner looking, putting all the actions in together. [screenshot]
