Thanks to Amazon.com, we are proud to offer you some choice movies that have to do with computers, the Internet and chatting. The left-hand links are DVDs and the right-hand ones are VHS.

cover cover WarGames - The 1983 classic hacker movie, which features Matthew Broderick as the geek who spends too much time on his computer and nearly starts WWIII. Absolutely classic. I still watch this when it's on television.

cover cover You've Got Mail - Another Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan romance, only this time, they hate each other in "real" life and start to fall for each other online, through AOL, hence the title. A cute romantic comedy, with enough realism to satisfy most nitpickers.

cover cover The Net - Oh, such impossibilities in this movie. Still, I like it. To see someone like Sandra Bullock being a computer geek gives the rest of the geek population hope that we're not complete losers. This movie is filled with computer inconsistancies, but it's still a good flick.

cover cover Hackers - A teenager movie that really isn't all that bad. It's been a few years since I've seen it, but it features a young Angelina Jolie, so I expect more interest in this, what with her being Lara Croft and all.

A great book by a real IRCer -- definitely a book from which anyone can learn something.
